“I am delighted to share my journey about taking part in the Restart Scheme, and how it has helped me get to where I am today.
“Being out of work for such a long time meant that I had no confidence. I was terrified to come out of my comfort zone to go to meetings with the Restart Scheme; my anxiety always got the better of me. Fears aside, I had my first appointment. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and made me feel welcome which helped me with my anxiety.
“I met my Employment Advisor, Rich, and he talked me through every step of the programme so I had a clear understanding of what the Restart Scheme was all about, and how he will help in every way possible to prepare me for work. After each appointment, I came away feeling more positive and a step closer to wanting to find work.
“Rich helped me to create my CV and gain more confidence each time we had a one-to-one meeting. A big fear of mine was attending job interviews, Rich prepared me by doing mock interviews with me which really helped. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful but felt proud of myself for trying my best at the interview. It made me more determined and I had more confidence in finding a job. Finally, it paid off and I got the job! I just knew everything would only get better for me.
“If someone would have said to me a few months back that I would be where I am today, I would not have believed them. And that’s all down to Seetec Pluss. I would like to say a massive thank you to Rich for believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself.”
