On Thursday 19th May at the Landmark Theatre in North Devon 175 guests attended the Business Action Awards ceremony. We are delighted to report that Seetec, who attended the evening as finalists, won the award for Best Employer.
The award recognizes the positive impact of seetec’s employee ownership model which puts employees at the heart of the business.
The investment in the health and wellbeing of colleagues was praised with a nod to services such as the listening ear, employee Covid communications and an inclusive and flexible approach to working. Volunteer days and birthday leave as well as being a living wage employee, cemented Seetec as a business with social value at its core.
The awards, now in their 3rd year, are organised by Business Action, the independent North Devon business magazine. Their aim is to offer an opportunity to acknowledge, recognise and celebrate local business achievements.
Robert Zarywacz editor, commented, “…the awards are an important motivator to spur businesses on to continue adapting and developing to maintain the success of the North Devon economy” – business-action.co.uk
The event included 8 independent award judges from a wide range of local business sectors and sponsors included Devon County Council, Petroc and Outset. There were some special guest speakers including, Plymouth and Devon chamber Chief Executive Stuart Elford and MP for North Devon Selaine Saxby. The Best Employer award was presented by Be Ready Employer hub.
Its great to see that over 3 months on the North Devon team are looking like a positive and happy bunch!
