Ashley joined the Work and Health programme and within a matter of months he was well on his way to finding meaningful employment. Below his Coach Jennie, gives an overview of the training and job support he received leading to the fantastic outcome of a new job role.

“Since starting the programme, Ashley completed courses in Essential IT skills and Introduction to Customer Service and Care. This training really helped Ashley to gain new skills and improve his confidence.

With his new confidence and skills, Ashley was put forward for the three following vacancies, customer Service agent, part-time receptionist, and a part-time carer.

He was active at using the Opportunities Hub that Work and Health provide, where he was able to look at vacancies and training.

In the end it was a carer’s role in youth services that was most promising and Ashley was successful at interview and got the job”!

We are delighted that the skills and confidence he gained through the courses and job searching support of Work and Health Programme, helped him gain not just a job but meaningful employment.
