When Lee started on The Work and Health Programme He had been unemployed for 7 years. He has a learning difficulty and needed support with job applications and securing full time permanent employment.
Lee, lives alone, was struggling with the job application process and needed support to move back into work, so last year he was referred to The Work and Health Programme.
His Employment Advisor Caroline, helped him every step of the way, building his confidence and finding ways to develop his skills.
Caroline found Lee a joy to work with as she found he “participated fully and accepted all support offered to him”
This was especially rewarding when the opportunity arose for Lee to gain his SIA badge, enabling him to move into an exciting new security career.
Lee was delighted and completed the security training whilst also gaining support from the Work and Health team in interview techniques and confidence building.
Recently he applied for his first ever security job and was offered it immediately! Lee is now in full time work at an NHS hospital and really happy.
Well done Lee!
