What is Multiply?

Multiply is a new government-funded programme that helps adults improve their numeracy skills.

Multiply courses are very practical and can help people with things like doing homework with their children, cooking, measuring up for DIY or even help with household budgeting. Basically, it’s learning numbers that are useful for everyday life.

Multiply is available FREE to anyone who is 19 or over and doesn’t have maths GCSE at grade C or 4 (or equivalent).

Understanding Dimensions

Length, width, and height are fundamental dimensions used to define the size of a 3-dimensional object. Together, they describe the space an object occupies in our three-dimensional world. Length refers to the measurement of an object from one end to the other along the longest side. Width, often also referred to as breadth, measures the object across, from side to side, perpendicular to the length. Finally, height is the measure from the base to the top of an object, vertically. These three measurements help us understand the size, shape, and volume of different objects in our daily lives and are crucial elements in many fields such as construction, design, and physics. See our diagram to help you understand the measurements.
