“This programme has helped me to change my life, and make it better!”
Aaron and Kayleigh were both supported back into work by our fantastic Restart Scheme team in Plymouth. Here, we’ll share both of their stories and how thanks to the team, they can look forward to a brighter future.
Aaron
In February 2022, Aaron attended his first appointment with the Restart Scheme team, looking to access support for his journey back into work. He was very keen to get back into employment and came along to his second appointment just one week later. During this appointment, his Employment Advisor asked him about his previous work experience, his hobbies and interests and what he felt was holding him back from getting back into work.
It was soon identified that Aaron needed a Birth Certificate and an updated CV. Just three weeks later, Aaron had both of these in place and he was also put forward for a role at Frontline Image, through our Employer Services team. Aaron did extremely well in his interview and was offered a job the same day! He started work the following week, and he really is loving life.
“During my second appointment, my Employment Advisor asked how quickly I wanted to get into work, I said I wasn’t sure and she suggested the end of March. I thought she was joking as I never thought it could happen that quickly! But she was right, as I started my job on 21st March. This programme has helped me to change my life and make it better.”
Kayleigh
Kayleigh joined the Restart Scheme in November 2021. She had extensive experience working in production environments and was keen to get back to a similar role moving forward. She spoke with a member of our Employer Services team in March about her preferred work role, and within a week, Kayleigh was offered a job in the packing department, also at Frontline Image!
“The support from my Employment Advisor means that I’ve had the chance to get back into work, doing a job I enjoy.”
Congratulations to both Aaron and Kayleigh, we wish you all the luck in the world! #NoOneLeftBehind
