TLH Leisure Resort (TLH) is a privately owned leisure resort across the Southwest. With an inclusive approach to recruitment, our Seetec Pluss staff have successfully placed several of our participants into various hospitality roles within the TLH group

Getting people back into working within hospitality because of the pandemic and Brexit has been challenging. To overcome this, TLH have adapted their recruitment practices, whilst still recognising skills are important.

There is now more of a focus on applicant qualities, especially individuals who demonstrate a willingness to work hard and put everything into the role which can really stand out at an interview.

Katy Williams, Hospitality Lead, Employer services said:

“It’s about getting the right applicant based on their values and attitude and not requiring skills or experience or completing application forms. Coupled with offering flexibility on working hours to overcome recruitment barriers such public transport timetables/childcare issues”

Ryan, a previous Restart Scheme participant with Seetec Pluss. is now flourishing as a Hotel Porter at TLH Derwent Hotel. His role involves helping with guest luggage, any requests they may have during their stay and setting up for any special events that take place within the hotel.

His Coach Genevieve said of the partnership:

They are amazing inclusive employers! Our participants are given work trial opportunities regardless of their barriers and/or disabilities. And only after an offer of employment has been made will they discuss potential support needs or reasonable adjustments.”

Hilary Mottram, TLH, HR Administrator said:

“We decided to work in partnership with Seetec Pluss as the support they offer to candidates is amazing, even after recruitment, with follow ups and offering support to both candidate and employer. It is great to know that the opportunity we have provided to their applicants has enabled them to develop more skills for future employment paths and in assisting those individuals to gain confidence and experience in the workplace

We couldn’t agree more, and have seen first-hand how offering our participants the opportunity to work in different hotels and departments gives them the opportunity to grow, develop and progress. Long may the partnership continue
